Go try to park as a student in any other university in the country that is in a semi urban environment. It's downright impossible. Parking permits are extremely expensive. When you think about logistics, Finding a parking spot at a large university is a miracle. Think of the number of faculty and staff alone that need parking spots.

BYU parking prices are reasonable. I graduated recently and I was always able to find a parking spot if I needed to drive to campus. Most schools have very limited parking for students and those spots are miles away. Parking is not a problem at BYU.
