In fact, that was the best NCAA run since Danny Ainge. In fact since 1984, Byu has made it into the round of 32 teams in the NCAA tournament only five times (two of those times under the direction of Coach Rose). He also has had a couple of very good NIT runs.
He has done poorly as far as winning conference tournament championships but he has advanced well in conference tournaments. I'm sure he is disappointed as well and not winning conference tournament championships. However, you need to consider the situation in light of the prior history of the program.
