I did 20lbs over the first 4 months of the year exclusively by changing my diet. The single biggest change was cutting
soda out of my diet. I was at 208, and got down to 188 without changing anything in my actual daily routine. Cutting calories, starting with sugars, adding more fruit and vegetables, and making the carbs I do eat actually add value by eating whole grains.

You can totally do this. If you can make time for even a little exercise in addition to changing your diet, you'll be miles ahead.
