Let's not just cherry pick 2011-15. The team was mediocre from 2010-15. No rival wins in that time. No flagship wins either. They were run of the mill seasons.

2012 was a debacle in wasting an elite defense because Bronco didn't bother to recruit any quarterback or kicker depth, despite injuries to both.

LaVell's coaching record includes years of taking BYU out of obscurity and then holding on a little too long. LaVell had five seasons of 1 loss or less. Bronco had zero.

Last year was a comedy of errors. Comparing any Bronco season to the lowest point in the program makes Bronco smell like roses unfairly. Sure we'd be better off with Bronco if you're cool with a low upside coach.
