I’m thinking on a broader level a system like this would attract more teachers
to higher-income areas where parents could bid more (or at all) for them to teach their children. I guess this is already kind of the case because working conditions for teachers in high SES areas tend to be better than in low-income areas, but making low-income schools even more unattractive to good teachers seems like a problematic move. I think there would have to be some kind of scholarship program involved as well to level the playing field a bit.
