There's a lot in there. If a vaccine did cause actual issues (so we're not
talking about autism or something like that) then I like to think that I would understand that it was an unfortunate and unlikely result of a medical procedure. Unfortunately, a truism of modern medicine is that there's always a risk associated with just about anything. I think I would view it in the same way that I would view someone going in for a standard surgery and having something go south (assuming no malpractice; crap happens sometimes without any negligence, but that doesn't mean that it was a bad decision to have the procedure based on everything that you knew at the time). Now, you also ask about what if there was something nefarious going on. That's a completely different issue, and if that were the case then I would be furious with the drug company or whatever that was responsible. But that's different from what is going on generally.

I would also note that I have a ton of sympathy for parents who struggle with kids who have autism or other developmental issues. I have a friend who has a child with autism that appeared shortly after vaccinating. They didn't vaccinate any of their other kids. I think that is a foolish decision, but I would never say that to him because of everything he's dealing with in having a son with extreme autism. I completely sympathize with those parents, and would not lump them into the conversation about being dumb and selfish because it's just not fair to put something like that on them.

That said, given the huge ramifications and risks with this issue, when addressing it globally and in general, then yes, it definitely deserves the type of extreme discussion that I am using here because people in general need to understand and grasp the scientific and mathematical realities of the situation.
