What exactly is "the majority of your time" then as an unmarried athlete? No girlfriend? No hanging out with the guys? No distractions?

Girlfriend(s) can be even more of a distraction than a wife. The guys that get married and end up 'deteriorating' would, in most cases, end up going downhill without marriage.

College kids are stupid. Your kid might be super dedicated and works out 'the majority of his time', but the rest of them are more like Josh Rosen who put a hot tub in his dorm room his sophomore year to liven up the party.
