if you're UCLA and you have good athletes. Either you are good at defending offenses or you aren't. They were dreadful. It is what it is. USU and Boise probably field much better defensive athletes than Oregon State.

You're acting like having some athletes means you're good at something. You keep bringing up the likes of NMSU and Umass, but you can just go ahead and get rid of those. Wilson had good ratings against good defenses, including Utah.

Quit acting like Huntley played a gauntlet of defensive authority. He didn't. He played a bunch of bottom 30 pass defenses. It's ignorant to just assume that some stupid conference affiliation means you're good at something. Anyone who assumes that, and especially lumps in the garbage Pac12 and Big 12, has no clue what college football is producing. Too many teams in those ranks don't deserve to be lumped in with others in their conference.

You want to find good ratings against good defenses for Huntley? You've got NIU and USC. That's really it. Then there's a drop to Stanford, and an even bigger drop to Arizona and ASU. Wilson's were against Boise and Utah. So the comparison is pretty close.
