Whit hired Troy Taylor for that exact reason, to open up the playbook and run a more ‘wide open offense’. It was a fail, Taylor was not a good OC. Whitt knows his strength is in the defense, he is reliant on the OC for the offense. He just hasn’t found the right guy yet, or maybe he did in Ludwig but Ludwig left for greener pastures and now he hired him back. To say a coach wants a vanilla low scoring offense is just silly.
