All of those QB’s had better tools than Wilson when they were younger.

You are saying that Wilson has the tools to be one of the best QB’s in football. Whitt offered Tua before anyone else. He offered Darnold before anyone else. He may suck at signing/developing QB’s, but he can spot them.

Do you honestly thought Whitt thought to himself, “hmmmm, here is a Utah kid, who can be the best in football and I have a limited QB in Huntley and another project in Tuttle and Wilson is willing to walk-on but I’ll pass?”

I doubt it. Whitt makes 3 million a year. He isn’t going to let potentially the best QB in football who loves Utah, dreamed of playing at Utah and wants to be at Utah, including walking on vs a scholarship at P5 schools, walk away.

Wilson can be a very, very solid QB. But the best in college FB?

Shelley put 250+ total yards and 2 TD’s on Oregon and Colorado. Shelley put up 303 passing yards and 2 TD’s vs NW (he did have 2 int’s, one a dropped pass and one where Fotheringham stopped his route early). Has Wilson ever done that to a P5 team? Does Shelley have potential to be the best in college football?

Come talk to me when Wilson has done that. Then we can see if he’s ever made a throw like Huntley did vs Stanford to blow the game open. Or put up 374 total yards and 5 TD’s like Huntley did.
