Has anyone had a family member switch rivalry allegiances?
My brother probably grew up a bigger BYU fan than me. He had a shrine to Ty Detmer in his room with the “Last crusade” poster and autographed photo of Ty. He was like Rain Man and knew completely random BYU football stats. But after marrying his ute fan wife and going to med school at the U, he pulled a full Benedict Arnold and now hates BYU. He is a proud ALUF, Crimson club member and says it would be better for the church to shutdown BYU athletics like BYU-I. His kids are all Utes.
