Both my parents are U grads, but we grew up in an all BYU household
And it wasn't for religion purposes or anything. I grew up in the heart of U territory where fans existed even in the 80s and early 90s. Church was always unbearable after the football or basketball games because my ward was probably a strong 90% red. It would have been easy for my dad to just be true to his alma-matter, but he saw the light.
