My wife did.
i've mentioned it many times here. She grew up in a BYU-hating family. They'd pretend to like Utah from time to time, I guess, but they mostly just hated BYU. My father-in-law got hassled about the length of his hair in the BYU book store when he was in his early 20s. He was a student at Weber State or University of Chicago at the time and only at BYU to visit a friend. anyway, the way he was treated about his hair sparked a hatred of BYU that was passed down to his children.

So anyway, my wife was a BYU hater. She started to go to BYU games with me when we got together, but wouldn't cheer. She's a troooper. she was there for me.

When the Utah fans at work learned that she went to BYU home games, they started to hassle her. And yes, "they" rather than "he" or "she." It was multiple people. It was so obnoxious that she decided she absolutely could not be part of that group.

17 or 18 years later, she's as much of a BYU fan as I am and definitely more of a Utah hater than I'll ever be. Unless it conflicts with a BYU game, she watches all of Utah's football games too just so she can cheer for the opponent. I don't like the hating stuff, but I'll blame that on her upbringing. Once a hater, always a hater. She just shifted the target.
