I have seen this a lot
I do mm but understand it. My allegiance is with my undergrad school — BYU. I went to two other universities with big programs. I went to the games and had fun. I feel no emotional attachment to either program.
I have a friend who went to BYU during the national championship and then went to Utah law school right after and became a Ute fan. There has to be more to the story with cases like this.
