Everybody says this (including me) but here's the thing....
The truth is, there is no way the 12 year old version of you or me, who was resisting piano lessons, barely practicing and feeling like he was forced to do something he hated was ever going to learn how to play the piano well. You only learn how to play an instrument well, to the point that it will stay with you for life, if you love it and you WANT to learn it.
No level of parents pushing the issue will EVER result in a young adult or a grown adult who is a good piano player, unless that person wants to be a good piano player. Period.
