Would you work without a performance review?

A conference is that. Year in and year out, you're compared to your peers. You can see how you're doing. Competitive people thrive in that scenario because they want to be better.

Independence is like making a ton of money in a job that absolutely sucks. Yeah, the money is good, but after awhile the money isn't worth the pain because you're not growing as an individual.
