Maybe he's better. Maybe he's not. It doesn't matter.
Remember, this is the staff that decided to rush 3 in a prevent-zone pass defense to take away "the pass" vs. USF. They saw the film. They knew who USF was. They still went with their gameplan.
This staff will still go with their depth chart.
It might be ok. It might be the right choice, but I wouldn't think too deeply about it.
3 quarters vs. USU and 3 quarters vs. Utah (last year) doesn't change the fact that we run our gameplan and we die by our gameplan.
We will do the same with QBs. When Wilson is healthy again, he will start. Doesn't matter if Hall (or Romney) is undefeated at that point. We may have a lot of problems with this team, but a QB controversy isn't one of them.
