We basically pressured him out. We underpayed him and were overly critical when he didnt sustain 10+ wins per year, ironically a benchmark that he reestablished when all was lost with Crowton. The writing was on the wall. Our expectations were unreasonable. We took the joy out of it because we didnt appreciate him.
He AVERAGED 9 wins a season at BYU and you sound pleased that Kalani will probably reach 9 again. Think about that. I love Kalani. But Bronco was an even better Coach. Why? W's. He simply won more often. Sure, you'll point at a few average years we had as he was figuring out independence and dealing with injuries. But his average is still better than Kalani's. It's not actually close.
Now Bronco is winning at a place when it hadnt happened in over a decade. Goals are being met. The Man deserves praise.
I say we give him what he's earned, some love.
