The only opinions I’m seeing here are yours
Bronco very much appreciated the opportunity to coach at BYU. BYU was his dream school back when he was a high school and JUCO player.

Not only does Bronco say back in 2012 he turned down an offer, he says "I am enjoying [BYU] now more than I have ever enjoyed it."

Doesn’t sound salty to me. And here are his comments before the ND game this year: “My experiences and experience at Brigham Young University was priceless and something I'll cherish. To be able to represent my personal beliefs and my faith through my work in a visible and tangible way brought a reward and a peace that I'm not sure you can achieve any other way. Normally there is a separation of work and faith and the demonstration and the acknowledgment of.

So to be able to have those intertwined and seamlessly binded was an amazing experience, and really, really profound. The night before every game we held firesides at local congregations and the prisons when we were at home in Utah, and being able to have outreach through the game of football about what I personally believe was very rewarding and seemed to make it more than a job.“

Again, sounds like he has nothing but respect and gratitude for BYU. Many of his former players love him and have stated as much in interviews. We’re seeing similar things with how the Virginia players appreciate him. You trying to say Bronco hated BYU is a flat out lie.

How ironic you ask me if I understand the concept of a trend. Look at Virginia in Bronco’s tenure. 2 wins to 6 wins to 8 wins to 9 wins and counting. That’s a trend. What’s BYU’s trend? 9 wins to 4 wins to 7 wins to 7 wins and counting. If BYU loses to both SDSU and the bowl game then there’s no real upward trend. If they win both then we can talk about a trend. But in Independence BYU won 10 games, 8 games, 8 games, 8 games, then 9 games. There is no way to argue that’s a steady decline. And keep in mind that the last year BYU did it without Taysom or Jamaal.

Bronco left Taysom Hill and Jamaal Williams and Kai Nacua and Francis Bernard and others for Kalani. Yes the trenches were suffering but the cupboard wasn’t bare, and it’s astounding you’d try to contend that BYU was worse off than Virginia when both Bronco and Kalani took over.

Yes BYU has enjoyed some nice wins under Kalani, but I don’t find them more impressive than BYU’s beat downs of Texas, the Oklahoma win, the beat down of UCLA, etc. I’m hopeful Kalani can continue to improve, but his career winning percentage is barely above .500 even when you include the FCS wins.
