500,000 was the projection on number of deaths if they did NOTHING. 20,000 was the projection if they implemented social distancing, closing schools/universities, quarantined sick people, etc. Now he says based on some more data that it might be under 20,000 in the UK since they've basically implemented a form of his recommendation.
