because I have not been living beyond my means through debt. So many borrow extra student loans so they can live in a nice place and have fun. So many finance flashy cars. Without the mill stone of debt payments, I have been able to buy a home with a hefty down payment, buy cars with no or very low payments, max out my IRA each year, etc. all while my friends who likely make more than me are just paying off debt.
