This is great advice, but it doesn't tell you when to move from one company
to another.
I'm just mulling this over because I faced the toughest career decision in my life in January when I left a rocket ship start up that had just been acquired and I was the top sales guy so I made a ton of commissions.
Half of my circle was saying, "You just made a ton of cash and commissions, keep going!"
The other half said, "you already won the lottery with shares, jump now before it's too late."
FYI, I ended up leaving but there is no perfect formula.
