Except Tyson isn't any kind of consensus #2
much less #10.
He wasn't better than contemporary Holyfield. Joe Louis was better. Joe Frazier was better than Tyson. Sonny Liston and Larry Holmes were probably better. And I like the George Foreman comparisons. Both were absolute phenoms at a very young age and bullies in the ring with terrifying punching power. And both lacked heart. The difference was Foreman came back as an old man to show the kind of heart he should have had twenty years before. Foreman gets the edge.
Ali and Joe Louis are 1-2 or 2-1 on almost every boxing experts lists of greatest heavyweights. Tyson's legacy has weakened as the years have gone by.
