Now imagine being born around 1900.
As a young teen the government decides income tax is cool. You'll never be free to earn again as your parents were. Then coming of age in the middle of the Spanish flu pandemic and ww1. Then you have a decade of success followed by ww2 and the great depression which, itself, lasts nearly a decade and a half. You're now 2/3 of the way through your life and half of that time has been spent in war or economic turmoil.
Cry me a river millennials. You're a bunch of whiny, entitled brats. You don't have it hard. Your life is easier than any generation born in America for at least 100 years.
