Boomers didn’t have
cable TV @ $30/mo, let alone Cable/Satellite/Streaming/Subscriptions running $100-200/mo

Fancy cell phones costing $1200 every two years. Let alone a $50-75/mo data plan

Internet service at $75-200/mo

Homes that were 2,000 sq ft larger than needed

$60K vehicles with 84-96 months of payments

Credit cards and associated 24-28% APR

A fast food culture, eating out 4-6X a week Instead of cooking at home for $2/person/meal or less.

$5-7 gourmet coffees

More than one car in the family

Cars that came with AC, Auto Windows/doors, automatic transmissions, let alone driver-less technology.

Many, many entertainment venues and options. A movie was a dollar, not $15. Movie snacks were reasonably priced.

Craft beers that are 5x more expensive than their Budweiser.

Designer clothes. Everyone wore a pair of Levi’s or Wranglers. Not Buckle $100 jeans.

I could go on and on how consumerism has plagued this generation more so than previous generations.
