I actually think there’s a bigger argument for trading Donovan
You’d get more in return. My big thing with Rudy is just absolutely don’t pay him the supermax. That will kill future flexibility and growth.
One trade I’d poke around would center on Mitchell for Beal. Beal is more efficient. Plays better off ball and therefore I think would mesh better with Conley. He was awful defensively this year, but I think he’d be better on a good team and especially with Rudy covering him.
I’m not sure that puts them over the top, but it gets them a bit closer. Think just betting on Mitchell is a solid choice too, but gonna have to find some more pieces. Ingles/Conley/Bojan are all on the downswing or about to start the down swing.
