BYU's current TV ratings are not relevant to the hypothetical.

Now, if BYU were to lose it's 3-5 best players from every single recruiting class for a period of about five consecutive years, and every single one of it's opponents lost the same average number, and then it's TV ratings remained just as high or higher, you'd have a case.
