It happens every year. We love Recruit X who is better than Recruit Y.

Recruit X chooses to play for another school. We never watch any of his games during his collegiate career.

Recruit Y comes to BYU. We watch every single game.

No one bemoans how much better BYU would be with Recruit X, and therefore, stops watching BYU.
