So 10% of 20-25%
That is incredibly generous. How many of the 129 D1 (FBS) football programs are break-even?

If you pay players they won't get the funds from untapped revenue. When your alma mater &/or hometown team no longer plays lots of people will tune out of 'college football.' It will be taken from other athletes. There will be mass consolidation to ~half of the current P5 programs and rosters will drop from ~85 scholarship athletes to more like an NFL roster (~50-60). The number of scholarship football players will drop from ~11k today to maybe 2k. But that's only scratching the surface. Most athletic programs will be reduced to club teams because there won't be football generating the revenue to fund non-revenue sports. That eliminates at least another ten thousand scholarships.
