I saw this article about a Shark that had been swimming around near Greenland since approximately 1630.
And it struck me. I needed to make a change for greater longevity. If this shark can live for 400 years why do i need to go before i need to go. I needed to limit my calories to 1630 per day for that longevity. And i needed to be more shark-like in my pursuit of my goal. I needed to have a killer instinct when it came to my choices. No more complacency. No more compromises. No getting comfortable with just mild results. So i tracked my calories and stayed below 1630 and exercised regularly. Walked daily for at least a mile or two and did jillian michaels 30 day shred work out with my wife nearly every day and the weight started falling off and i just keep that shark in my mind. But i'm convinced tracking calories honestly and cutting things off is the most important factor in it all. You can work out like crazy and not see results. Its nutrition. Tracking it is the first step. Then once you realize that there are limitations then you start planning the meals to maximize them within those limits.
