I lived south of campus all during BYU and didn’t have a problem finding housing

I never heard any complaints from other students, male or female either. Graduated in 2011, but can’t imagine things have changed too much. BYU’s enrollment hasn’t changed a ton in 10 years and UVU has become less LDS too. Maybe it’s just an issue with the female students?

For what it’s worth, BYU housing is very liberal with waivers, at least in my experience.

A fraction of the UVU student body lives in Provo while the vast majority of BYU students do live there.

A big fraction. I recently served in a Provo singles ward and about 60% were UVU students. The ward was about 2 blocks

It's changed a lot since then. First daughter started that year and it was very different then than it is now.
