you have already lost to Northern Illinois, Cal, and been crushed by Utah St. It didn't help that they also lost boise, utah, and looked so pitiful against Washington, but Dangerous's point is that if we had taken care of business against our weaker opponents, then we would have been 10-3 or 9-4. In 2020, with the schedule we had, if BYU could have gone 9-3 even after starting 2-2, then I think we would have ended the season ranked.

Now, almost everyone on this board agrees that we need to try to get a few decent teams to play at the end of the season or we won't make the NY6 bowls, let alone the playoffs. If we don't make one of those bowls, then what was the point of all those crappy teams we beat?

The difference between 2 easy OOC games and one marquee game for SEC teams, is that the rest of their schedule is stacked with SEC teams. If you are scared of marquee games in the season, then you don't deserve marquee games in the post season.
