A couple of things.
I remember when I was first married and the stress I felt for the responsibility of taking care of my family. It feels pretty overwhelming, but with a little time you gain a little perspective on its manageability.

When you’re 28 years old, focusing on working for 40 years can be overwhelming. Actually, will be overwhelming. Don’t focus on such a long term. Focus on one day. Anybody can get through one day. It’s manageable, it’s not overwhelming....And your sweet wife a cute baby will be there when you get home at the end of the day. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, the best thing to think about is short term.

I recommend the book, “people hire people not resumes”, by Frank Danzo. It teaches you how to network, which is something we should all do all of the time. It will keep you engaged and it will create opportunities for overtime.

Also, if you have a newborn, don’t forget that you’re not getting any sleep. Holy crap, when you’re that exhausted, everything seems more difficult. Try to find time to take a nap. Same for your wife. Get some sleep!
