I have similar anecdotal evidence. I sort of felt like the OP at a point in my

life and decided on law school without a “love for the law” or even a clear vision of what I wanted to do and it is the best decision I ever made. I have been in-house for several years and have a job that I like, but it’s not a passion. However it pays enough for a very nice life and I do have time to follow my own passions outside of work.

I know others who have done the same.
