Zach Morris “Be great, cause it’s good
I don’t disagree with this or any of the philosophies of weight loss. I 100% believe that one can manage their weight
through diet and exercise. I probably wasn’t very clear in my post but I’m referring to a concept and idea that almost always gets conflated when discussing diet, exercise, fitness, physique etc... and that is the idea that so long as you eat right and work out just right that you too can have an Instagram model, Muscle & Fitness cover type body — that’s what I’m referring to.

The reality is, some people are born with that optimal/model like physique look. Some people have very misshaped or oddly shaped legs, chest, back, arms etc.... while most people are somewhere in between on the spectrum.

In the day and age of Instagram models and all sorts of fitness spokespeople, I often hear or read comments of how anyone can look like ______ so long as they eat the same diet or exercise the same. This completely ignores bone structure, bone sizes, the types of muscle fiber one may or may not have, hormones, natural metabolism etc etc.... this is what I’m referring to.

The idea that it’s all controlled through diet and exercise ignores the reality that some people literally are just born to have beautiful fit bodies while some others are just never going to have the look that they are going for.

But again, losing weight through diet and exercise is absolutely something that we agree on.
