I think you've nailed it on the head. If Covid vaccine were a 'Usual' vaccine

Many more people would accept it. But because it is a new thing its scary. Not because the disease isn't as dangerous as measles or mumps or rubella or tetanus, but because its new and different and the vaccine is part of the 'embarrassing' response.

Here's hoping you and I and all the rest make it to 2022 without any health issues from diseases, treatments, or vaccines.
