They simply transferred to UVU. Great school. Great kids and really good professors. My family member has even gone back to Church and re-building without feeling like he "had" to...

We didn't treat it as a BIG DEAL and it made all the difference.

That's likely only true for religion courses. Any general ed he took will transfer.

Remote college sucks. I would get him on campus as soon as you can, the restrictions aren't bad at all.
