Does he have a solid idea on what he wants to do after college? what major he wants?

That could/would be an important factor in other schools he may choose to go to. If he's not sure, I'd lean towards staying at BYU and working part-time.

That's likely only true for religion courses. Any general ed he took will transfer.

Remote college sucks. I would get him on campus as soon as you can, the restrictions aren't bad at all.
