If anything, it brings SOS benefits to either conference...
One of the biggest complaints about both conference is that their strength of schedule isn't great at all. The ACC locked ND for that very reason... otherwise ND really doesn't do much for the conference, it's a better deal for Notre Dame.
BYU would be a boost to the SoS for both conferences and would eliminate that excuse.
