Obviously we are watching two different games then, I for one have seen many and I mean many 3rd down and 7+ converted with no problem...it isn't the players as much it is the coaches not having a clue about situational awareness....all started with game 1 at Arizona, one countless number of short yardage plays we watched as our safeties and DB's played 10-15 yards off the ball and left easy lanes and short dropback passes wide open to gain 5-10 yards every time. This continues today whether Pili is in there or not. I have watched many games where the D coordinator brings the house on 3 or 4th and short and causes QB to panic and throw ball away. But no we drop 8 10-15 yards off the ball and give QB all day long to throw. Only game we didn't do this was the Utah game.
