My Lincoln has the 2.7L dual turbo. The engine has high pressure, but the block
is compressed graphite iron, the same as the truck Diesel engines. It would appear that this engine will last the equivalent of a diesel, as long as I keep my foot out of the carburetor.
BTW, love the engine, hauls butt, and gets good mileage.

In 2007 I think the Tundra pushed the market, made the big 3 act to get better. It seems like this version gets Toyota

In my experience the Toyota engine/transmission/everything really is just much more durable and reliable...
