No judgement, just clarification. That's not "just paying the bills"

That is paying for extras that are personally meaningful. There is nothing wrong with having personality meaningful hobbies and extras or working for a higher standard of living. But don't make it sound like you are just trying to make ends meet. The difference is acknowledging that you are making a choice to make things hard on yourself. Too often people act entitled to a certain standard of living and fail to recognize the choices they are making that create their hardship.
