Utah leaving triggered Byu and then TCU. If BYU and TCU had stayed and added Boise state it would’ve been a much better conference than it was with Utah

The point with Byu leaving was that the Mountain West conference was Savageing BYU. Hair Thompson was screwing us over at every corner and we had failed to take opportunities in the past wholeheartedly because we had an agreement to take Utah with us.

When Utah left and we saw that we could vastly improve our financial stability by going independent and fending for ourselves it became a no brainer.

Why is it that Hawaii San Diego State Wyoming and Colorado State along with Air Force all said that they wouldn’t schedule Byu anymore until their athletic directors lost their jobs? It’s because they know it was Byu that killed the conference.
