I'm not really anti-Tuiaki, but the DC has to share blame for lack of depth
Especially on the DL, which is his position to coach and where he always tries to rotate a bunch of guys. They got manhandled against Baylor and manhandled against UAB. As a team, we ranked like 109th in tackles for loss per game.

BYU's defense was on the field for 880 plays, their offense for 868. That's a difference of 0.92 plays per game.

That proves his point; the defense is supposed to get off the field, the offense is supposed to stay on the field

We had one of the top offenses in the country and still were at a deficit. The defense is the reason.

BYU led the nation in total offense in 1984 and only ran 2.5 plays per game more than their opponents
