Part of the reason that we kept opposing teams stats down has a little to due with the fact that that coach used a "bend but not break" philosophy. The opposing team would slowly go down the field with a running game that got 1st down after 1st down. Our offense was very limited in what they could do as the opposing team ate up the clock with a running game. Important note: Our defensive coordinator did not use his usual defensive plan against Utah as he blitzed them and played very aggressive defensive plan. It is important to note that we upset Utah using this more aggressive approach.

This Utah game begs the question.. "why not use this more aggressive scheme more often, like all the time. I know, I know, it is not that simple. Well, if it is not that simple, why not just try it more often and take it from there.
