Organizationally, that's a big jump from where the conference is now
So many moving parts, so much to analyze and project, but the strategic position would seem to be much stronger if they could pull it off.

If the Big12 were a tech company with good strategic leaders, I would assume they would recognize and jump at the opportunity to make a move like that. But I have no idea whether the commitment to pursuing a largely undefined opportunity based on potential exists to this level in the Big12. I think the fight for survival somewhat forced the conference's hand when Texas and Oklahoma left, and I don't know whether the conference will be that forward looking. I hope so, that would be cool.
