It's why Bob Bowlsby had so much to say about ESPN in the OU and UT move.

ESPN has contracts with both, but Bowlsby was blaming then for being that friend of a friend of a friend asking OU and UT on behalf of the SEC.

He was also very conscious about correcting any statement in the welcome press conferences about the Big12 reaching out to the new schools... kept correcting that to say the school's reached out and hr Big12 responded.
