The problem right now is trust (inside the PAC and beyond) is suddenly at an all time low. If even ONE more team defects the PAC is done. If the PAC dies, then there will likely be haves and have nots. So many if not all PAC teams are now facing a serious dilemma. Stay put and risk Oregon, Washington or in fact ANYONE leaving soon. Or promptly take proactive action and join the expanded BIG12/PAC (or other conference).

I find it hard to believe that any future entity (P2/P4) could ignore the entire highly populated west coast of this vast country.

I think it is smarter to brand it as a sort of BIG12/PAC MERGER than a kill.
