The WAC was the first Super Conference and that "newness" is what killed it. Now

the Super Conference is the expectation. BYU and others didn't like the natural rivalries being affected and hence the MWC. Not anymore. The rivalries have now given way to the almighty dollar as well as the security of a super conference. I would not be surprised if the B12 absorbed the remaining PAC (I hope not, dead weight is really not needed, WA, Ore, Stanford-to a degree, AZ, ASU, Col and Utah).

You can kill the PAC without taking all of them. Keep the flexibility to expand with ACC if the B1G or SEC make moves
