Week 6
Week 6 - #5 BYU (5-0) vs #10 Notre Dame (3-1) in Las Vegas

Ticket Prices are even more outrageous than at release. The cheapest ticket to attend the game on stubhub is listed at $320. BYU fans, after the hot start, buy up as many tickets as they can, though are still outdrawn by the traveling titan that is Notre Dame. College gameday comes to see BYU and Notre Dame. All 4 analysts and guest picker Lennay Kekua all pick Notre Dame to not only win, but win big. Notre Dame has relied on a run heavy offense, and believes they would be able to expose Tuiaki's defensive line. They were right.

In the first half alone, Notre Dame racks up 240 rushing yards and takes a commanding 24-10 lead into halftime. BYU's offense was fine, but stalled in the redzone twice. Oldroyd missed a FG as the half ended. At halftime, Kalani gives one of the most heartfelt speeches to the defense this world has ever heard. Tuiaki however missed the speech, as he was changing his pants. In BYU's first drive of the second half Jaren threw a great ball to Keanu Hill that goes straight through his hands and into Notre Dame's. they return it for 6, and BYU faces a 31-10 defecit. Cougarboard crashes, and fans are left to meltdown to their families instead.

With not much success on the ground, Arod essentially abandons the run game for the next few drives and relies on Jaren's arm instead. The strategy works, as BYU quickly moves down the field off the backs off Jaren and Gunner. With a 31-17 lead, Notre Dame's offense finally begins to get stuffed by BYU's defense. The stuffing, however, happens at the goal line and Notre Dame still scores a FG to make it 34-17. BYU responds with a slow methodical drive, with Jaren finally finding Dallin Holker in the endzone for a TD. 34-24, ND leads entering the 4th. BYU's defense still is getting pushed around, but stalls ND again in the redzone and forces another FG, 37-24 Irish with 10 minutes remaining.

The first play of the following drive for BYU ends with a notre dame linebacker spearing Jaren Hall and getting ejected for targeting. The hit fires up the offense, and 3 plays later Brooks carries it 13 yards into the endzone, 37-31 with 6 minutes on the clock. Notre Dame's offense comes back out to try and ice the game, having scored on their last 5 possessions. After a quick first down, their offense finds themselves in a 3rd and 2 situation. They pitch it to their RB who has an open gap for the first down. His eyes, staring at the whole, miss the ball and it goes right off his facemask into Pili's hands. Pili returns grabs the ball and starts running down the sideline and into the endzone, giving BYU a 38-37 lead. Notre Dame still has time, and moves the ball slowly down the field to the 28 yard line with 4 seconds left, and lines up for the game winning field goal. Its up, slowly curling left…. THUMP! Off the goalpost, BYU wins the game 38-37. The dream season is still alive, and the College Gameday curse has been lifted.

Key Numbers:
Jaren 26-42 for 298 yards and 3 TDs. Notre Dame with 48 carries for 370 yards. Turnover battle ends even at 2-2, with the last being the difference.
